Pakistani War on Terror
Pakistan is called the "Frontline State" in the War on Terror. There are several occasions, which have raised the issue of Pakistan's sincere role in the war.
Before commenting on the sincerity of Pakistan, it will be better to understand Pakistan's role in the War on Terror. Pakistan is sharing the largest border with Afghanistan. Traditionally both countries never enjoyed good relations. Pakistan's role in Afghanistan is very old and important. Pakistan has always tried to have good relations with Afghanistan to fully concentrate on its border with India. This role was further increased in the 1970s when the former Soviet Union sent troops to Afghanistan at the request of the then Afghan Communist Government. It was at that time that EE. What the world community forgot was that for more than a decade, Pakistan was helping Afghanistan. The world community forgot both countries and suddenly remembered that Pakistan is important in this war.
